A Stewartsville resident was injured in a one-vehicle accident near Cameron Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 36-year old Tina Markt was transported by Cameron Ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

The accident occurred at 5:30 a.m. on U.S. 36, one mile west of Cameron. Markt was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer eastbound when she lost control and traveled off the north side of the road and into the median, overturning one and a half times before coming to rest on the passenger side facing south in the median.

The Cameron Fire Department assisted at the scene.
